The success of The CHainismokers has taken the DJ duo across the planet to some of the world’s most glamorous locations, but Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart believe the hard work they have put into building their musical brand is the reason for their rewards. The duo came together in 2012 when Pall was looking to take his music full-time after finding success as a DJ for hire across New York City. Andrew Taggart was put in contact with Pall in 2012 when he had graduated from college in Maine by a shared management executive who felt the pair were a good fit together.
What Alex Pall and Drew Taggart knew from the start as they did not want to be the kind of artists who simply add beats to an existing song without playing a role in its creation. Discussing this move after achieving their breakout success with the album, “Memories… Do Not Open”, Pall and Taggart believe the decision to step into the writer’s room was the correct one to take.
Not only do the duo sit in on the majority of writing sessions they also add their own experiences to the songs being crafted as they believe the most important part of creativity is taking ownership of their sings. The Chainsmokers write songs about their own experiences and began singing vocals for these songs as far back as the single “Closer” in 2016. The decision to step out from behind the decks was a major one to take for the duo as they had to carefully craft an image that would assist in their move towards superstar DJ status.
Alex Pall is the member most closely associated with the image of the band as he has undertaken the role of social media expert for the duo. Clay Hutson attended the University of Central Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Theatre Production and in Technical Production. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. He has been working for Getagrip Touring company since 1999. He has been the vice-President for a production company called Ronin Event Creative company since the year 2001. He was stage and production manager for Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland and Kanye West.

Hutson doesn’t just put on a simple concert for his artist. He makes it an extravaganza. The lighting and video is a huge part of making the shows fantastic. The video is a huge portion of a concert because if a fan is sitting in the nose bleed section, the artist will be no bigger than a Lego Mini Figure. The video enables these fans to see what the artist is doing without binoculars. Technical advances are popping up everywhere. Some artists are also adding acrobatics and aerial stunts to their show to further whoa their fans.
Hutson’s believes that anyone can be trained in the music business. Someone that is talented and loves what they do can really have a passion of the nosiness and have the potential to be good at it. Chainsmokers comprises Andrew Taggart x Pall. They are American DJs who produce music. In 2014 chain-smokers produced a song named “#Selfie” which made them famous across the world. The song was ranked among the best in the world. In 2015, the Chainsmokers released another song known as “Roses”, giving them a breakthrough to the music world.
The Chainsmokers songs were among the best in the United States Billboard Hot music station. They won an award on the song “Don’t Let Me Down”. The Chainsmokers reformed in 2012 as an EDM DJ duo. After reorganizing Chainsmokers management responsibilities were given to Adam Alpert in the New York City. Alpert introduced Pall to Taggart. Pall went to New York University where he studied arts and music business.
Taggart had been at Syracuse University before he met Pall. He had a passion for music and released some songs on SoundCloud website. Taggart got information from one of Alpert’s employee that there was a vacancy in duo management after Bixler resigned. The job made Taggart come to New York and leave Maine.
In the New York City, Taggart made remixes with a band called Indie. He made collaborations with recording artists and actress Priyanka Chopra. Nick Watt interviewed Pall and Taggart about the duos name. Pall told him that the name duos came into his mind while he was in college. He says that they liked smoking weed while they were in college and that’s why they decided to call the band chain smokers.
The duos performed first in 2014 which was an opening for Timeflies. They released the selfie song in 2013 for free. The song gave them a breakthrough for more songs after making them popular across the world. The song peaked internationally and emerged among the best in Electronic Songs Chart.
After seven months Chainsmokers released “Let You Go”, song. Chainsmokers signed at the Disruptors Records a collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment by the help of Adam Alpert.
